Veilnote: Invisible Notes

Terms of Use

Last updated: June 10, 2026

These terms cover your use of Veilnote: Invisible Notes, a notepad and teleprompter app for macOS made by poteam. By using Veilnote: Invisible Notes, you agree to them.

1. The app

Veilnote: Invisible Notes is a Mac application that provides a private notepad and an on-screen teleprompter that is excluded from standard macOS screen capture. It is distributed through the Apple App Store and runs locally on your device.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Boook on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, redistribute, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except to the extent that such restriction is prohibited by law.

3. Purchases

Veilnote: Invisible Notes is free to download and use as a notepad and teleprompter. Certain features are unlocked through a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. This is not a subscription. Once unlocked, the purchased features remain available on devices signed in to the same Apple Account, subject to Apple's terms.

All purchases are handled by Apple. Pricing, billing, and payment are managed entirely through the App Store. We do not process or store payment information.

4. Refunds

Because purchases are processed by Apple, all refund requests are handled by Apple, not by us. If you would like a refund, request it through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We are not able to issue refunds directly.

5. About the invisibility feature

Veilnote: Invisible Notes uses a macOS system feature that excludes its window from screen capture performed by standard tools, including common screen sharing and recording applications. You understand and agree that:

  • This feature relies on Apple's operating system behavior and the capture methods used by other applications, which are outside our control and may change.
  • It does not protect against a physical camera or phone pointed at your screen, against someone reading over your shoulder, or against capture methods that deliberately target the app by name.
  • We provide no guarantee that the app will remain invisible in every application, configuration, or future version of macOS or third-party software.

You are responsible for verifying that the feature works in your specific setup before relying on it. A short test before any important call is strongly recommended.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use Boook lawfully and responsibly. You are solely responsible for how you use the app and for the content of your notes. Do not use Boook in any way that violates the rules, policies, or agreements of any platform, employer, institution, or examination you are participating in. We are not responsible for any consequences arising from your use of the app in contexts where it is not permitted.

7. Your content

Everything you write in Veilnote: Invisible Notes stays on your device. We have no access to it and claim no ownership of it. You are responsible for backing up anything important, as uninstalling the app removes its local data.

8. Disclaimer of warranty

Veilnote: Invisible Notes is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defect will be corrected.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, poteam and its owner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use Veilnote: Invisible Notes. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for it.

10. Changes to the app and terms

We may update, modify, or discontinue Veilnote: Invisible Notes or any of its features at any time. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Apple as a third-party beneficiary

This license is between you and poTeam only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. However, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the app must also comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply.
